Hi - Just got a Strat plus E47**** Surf green, so I guess it's an 87-88. The fret wires are showing quite a bit of wear up to the 7/8 frets but it is a really nice guitar. Thanks for all the info on the site. It has been an education

You provide a much needed service and seem quite thorough. Alas, I can't find any intel for my "set-neck" Strat, serial number; SE 928010 built by John Cruz, IIRC. Lace sensors=1 Blue, 1 Gold and 2 Red. TBX control, 5-way
and mini toggle. Ebony fret board and a tiny truss rod adjustment access directly behind the nut on the headstock. The guitar is an exquisite example of the Custom Shop's capabilities. This apparently "early" CS has none of the relicing or obsession with thin coats of Nitro-cellulose based pigments. I believe it's Poly Urethane in a Yellowish/Faded White affair. The Gold hardware has plenty of plating left and no savage dings or belt buckle rash. I paid $1K2 for it last year and it still seems well worth the money.

Thank you for sharing your vast experience with a little known facet of the Strat's fascinating history,

Noel Grassy

I have a strat plus deluxe with 1988 serial numbers. It has blue, silver and gold pickups. I bought it new in 88 so I know it is original.
Would you consider it a rare guitar?
Thanks for your input and thanks for your site.
Dow :D :!cool:
