What a great detailed site. I've been studying it fo 3 days, since I got my Strat Plus. I am having some difficulty dating this guitar. I bought it as a 1999, but after reading your site I'm convinced it is not. It has an N99 serial number, but as you mention in your 1999 paragraph the guitars other make it pre -94. The serial number is on the front and has the strait Wilkenson rolle nut along with the Schaller locking tuners & Lace Sensors. Unfotuneately the dating on the neck is unreadable. The stamp on the end of the neck reads March 08 19--, with the last 2 digits not there. The neck pocket has an A in pencil and several stampings overlapping each other with some ink bleeding together. There is a green stham that reads 0314 plus 2 bled out digits. leading me to believe March 14th 19--. Also a larger black stamp STRP11 and an A. CHAV-- plus a smaller blurred black stamp not ligible. My thought is 90 or 91. I would value your oppinion on this.
Thank You,
Norm Cole

Man, what a great site! My beloved Seafoam Strat Plus was ripped off in the mid 90s(Still have my eyes peeled!), and reading all the info here has brought back lots of great memories. That was my first really great guitar. I'm in the market for one if anyone has one for sale. Would like one from the late 80s or early 90s.

Absolutely the most informative collection of MIJ/CIJ Fender Stratocaster guitar information I have ever came across. It shows your passion as a collector in the knowledge you have accumulated for the instrument. It must be very rewarding to enjoy such a hobby that gives back as much as you have put into it.
