I don't think I could expand on any of the comments on this guest book as to how informative and fascinating your web site is. I don't own any of these types of Strats (I currently use a HSS Mahogany Select Strat for giging) but perhaps one day!! ;) Great site, already in 'My Favs' folder!!!

I own a 1994 Black Strat Ultra - it's all original. I have had a ton of "daily players" (I'm 58) through my life but this Ultra, which I purchased from the original owner 6 years ago has been far and away my best.

Of course, I love to improve things and I am sure there have been many improvements to the electronics since it was built. Perhaps you can make some suggestions. I play through a Rivera Fandango 212 W100 (Older Blackface model) that has also been great...Most of my playing these days is as lead guitarist in worship and what I call vocals rock (Sunshine Rock) groups...

Ideas?

Hey, thanks for all the great info on the Strat Plus, Plus Deluxe and Ultra. I bought a 1995 Strat Plus in the Blue Edge Burst and a beautiful rosewood fretboard last year, and I have loved it. Of course the first tone * * * has become a volume now for the acoustic bridge, but I had my friend at the local guitar shop wire it such that all the Lace Sensors are hooked to the TBX tone control The previous owner had replaced the Gold neck pickup with a Blue one also, so I bought a Red one for the bridge position, now it's Blue, Gold, Red, and acoustic Bridge. I have loved this Strat Plus so much, I have been on the lookout for a good Ultra for my collection as well. I finally found just what I was looking for, a 1991 Blue burst Ultra in very good condition, for a price I could actually afford! It does have a few minor indentations here and there, but no deep scratches, gouges, chips or digs, I'd give it an 8.5/10. Really great guitars Bro, I can see why you like and collect them. :!cool:

What a great site! This was invaluable as I restored my '93 Crimson Burst Plus Deluxe, which I bought used. The Lace Sensors were replaced with Bartolini pickups with a humbucker in the bridge position - I was never happy with that sound. Luckily, the original Lace Sensors were provided with the guitar, but I had no idea where they were supposed to go. Thanks to your detailed info and pictures, my Plus Deluxe is back to stock and sounding like a Fender again!

Thanks for the helpful info!

This web sight is like a treasure chest ,and the axes are like all the different relics that make me go crazy because i want them all. i own a 1998 ultra ,and it sounds and plays like butter!!!! I DONT KNNOW WHY FENDER WOULD STOP PRODUCING THIS WONDERFULL LINE OF GUITARS. Can the ultra ,or similar guitars be orderd from the custom shop? The only other axe that even comes close to my blueburst / curley maple top 1998 ultra. Is my valley arts early california pro. It is also similar in quality, playability, and tone with out all the horns & whistles. I was wondering if you had ever customized any valley arts or other "super strat" type guitars. all the info & documentation on your beautiful custom projects have been an inspiratin, & so helpfull in my own elect/acoustic guitar repairs & custom projects. THANKS FOR THE SCHOOLING!!!! LEE Mocoy Tucson AZ.
