Very nice website lots of interesting info.Have just finished rebuilding my HM strat ,rerouted for a floyd rose and a humbucker in the neck (HSH) master volume and tone with a blend * * * in the third spot.Humbuckers are wired series split parallel. The pickups are Tom Andersons .Have always wanted a Strat with a ebony fretboard but just way too complicated to remove and replace .

I wanted to post some information about the pick guard I purchased from Jeff back in January. It was actually assembled by Jeff with the intent of putting it in one of his guitars. Its in the strat ultra configuration SSH burgundy in the neck silver in the middle and a blue blue dually in the bridge position. First off im not a professional musician and pickups in my opinion are a very subjective topic. Lace sensors are a very debated subject on the internet but personally I love they way they sound. If you like the sensors in the least little bit you owe it to yourself to try some different configurations and the true ultra switching that as far as i am aware of Jeff is one of the only folks that builds guards with the correct ultra wiring. Check out. My guitar is ultra versatile and i can get tones from a tele to a les paul without touching the eq on the amp. If you are serious about your tone than get a pickguard from Jeff. I promise you will not be sorry.

Great site. Love the collection, and ID process for finding out what I have on some of my strats all except my 1988 Strat Plus Deluxe that looks like a surf green, but darker, and yet not a dark green with the LSR roller nut, Sperzel tuners with Ser# E 800504. Gold lace at the next, Silver in the middle, and Blue lace at the bridge. Thanks for a great tour.

Great site....I recently purchased a MIJ 72 re-issue Strat E708260 serial number...the pick ups were changed to EMG SA sounds great.....real thin neck which I like. I didn't see anything on the 72 re-issue on your site but the info you have was great help...is there anything else you can tell me about them?

Thanks for the info and again great site

Xhefri,

Technical question. I personally don't care for the Fender/Floyd Rose bridge on the Strat Plus Deluxe, and I'm wanting to replace it with something that is adjustable, but doesn't require cutting the strings off for changing them. Do you have the measurements off hand for center to center of the 2 mounting posts? Also the measurement of the bushings and the thread width would be very helpful, so i can look for compatible hardware. Not really wanting to rout the body of the guitar. Thanks in advance for your help.

Cheers,

Chris

Just got a copper caster and was looking for more info on it and stumbled onto your site. Great site and alot of work! Mine is a 1997 made in usa with a smaller c neck and weighs in at 9lbs, it's in near mint condition and is fast becoming my goto tele(have 3 right now). Someone installed a "no load" pot in mine also which I may remove as I turned around the bridge plate to allow for swells with the tone control and the click throws it off.
Thanks again for a great site with plenty of eye candy + info.
Mark
