Not sure if mine is a strat plus or a strat plus deluxe. Serial Number: N1065604. Has the brushed finished Schallers. The later Wilkenson nut (not the split). Came with Red Silver and Blue Lace (changed bridge to gold lace). The color I believe is gunmetal blue, but with a burst finish. Have you ever seen that color? Maple neck. Bridge has the thick screw in tremelo arm (without a white tip). What, if anything can you tell me about this guitar, especially if gunmetal blue could have been in a burst finish? It is in VERY good condition, almost like new. Can you give an approximate value for it? Can I send you a picture?

Hello, I fond your site looking for a professional to aid in some restoration of my 1989 Fender American Stratocaster Plus Deluxe Guitar. The Guitar belongd to my father Who was somewhat of a local legend/guitar hero in my hometown. I'll tell you more about him in a minute first let me tell you a little about his guitar. He purchased the guitar brand new in 1989 and the only modification he did to the guitar is he installed a hot rail pick up in the bridge position to give her some more grunt.

This guitar is priceless to me. Now more about my father. He passed away about 6 months ago in May 2010 at age 53. due to heart failure. He spent his life mastering the guitar. He was humble about his playin ability. He was so in love with the "music" that he would not play live with musicians unless they were of a certain caliber. He would however jam with just about anyone. I really want to find someone who can repaint the guitar for me.

Love the site, I acquired a '91-'92 strat plus in the firestorm finish last summer, and just recently realized that they are very collectible guitars. Maybe I should quit taking this one out to gigs, eh? I just wish I could determine its value somehow.

But, I have to take off my hat to this site for being "the" site for info on these guitars. Thank you so much for all the info....

I have a 91 Strat Ultra that I bought new in early 1993. I have many guitars, but for two reasons it is very near and dear to my heart. First is the circumstances of when I bought it. I was newly married, quite poor, and my house got broken into and all things musical stolen. My wife (who is the best woman on the planet... I may be a bit biased) pulled out a surprise stash of money she had been squirreling away. She told me to go out and get a guitar. I got the Ultra. I think of tht every time I pick it up.

I have done OK, and now have many fine guitars, but that Ultra is my favorite. It is a great player, a great sounding guitar (versatile as hell, as you well know) and obviously a fond memory. So I just wanted to say Hi and tell you about my guitar. Your site is great. It has a fantastic amount of information and was a real pleasant surprise to find. Thanks for the effort and the love of these great guitars.

Hello Xhefri, I ran across one of your listings on Ebay and too a look at you web page. Quite a thrill to see such a collection plus some good information. Now retired I spend my work time hobbying. I was in very high tech electronics but started back into tubes. I rebuild & repair amps (Collected some Univox) and now boldly go into tinkering with guitars. I am not a 'player' but try. I don't have the budget to work with the class of guitars you do so I play around with the Fender MIM's don't laugh. But I ran into the LACE pickups and have been fooling around with them ever since. Another reason why I have been rummaging around you page. I am looking at the Burgandy Mist you have on Ebay now. I will return to read & read & read you site.

Great site. I've had a Strat Plus with the E4 serial number that I bought new in Indianapolis, for a while and didn't quite know how to date it. I also didn't know that the color was not standard. Reading through your history, I discovered that "Shell Pink" was one of those rare colors manufactured by Fender and explains why I've never seen another one like it.
